How to Keep Meditation Steady During Busy Seasons

Our number one tip? Don't let perfect be the enemy of good.

We all know the general recommendation to practice Vedic Meditation for 20 minutes, twice a day — but many (many) meditators are not consistent with this. If you can relate, there's nothing wrong with you!

It can be challenging to find time to meditate during busy seasons of life — and the truth is, we don't find time to meditate, we make time. If you want to build a consistent practice, it will likely require a healthy dose of discipline and a conscious choice to prioritize meditation, but there's no need to be rigid or dogmatic with it. If you truly don't have 20 minutes on a busy day, there's no need to throw out your meditation — you can meditate for 10 or 15 minutes and enjoy plenty of benefits.

We don't recommend making a habit of meditating for less than 10 minutes because it can take some time for the mind and body to settle down, but don't be afraid to meditate for less than 20 minutes if it feels more doable.

With that said, if you find yourself struggling to meditate for 20 minutes because your eyes-closed experience feels challenging, or you find yourself not making the time even though you know it's possible, reach out for support or join us online for an upcoming meditation session.
